WERC 2009 Conference Program Now Available




The Warehousing Education and Research Council has released the full program for its 2009 conference, to be held April 26-29 in Atlanta, GA. The 2009 conference is the 32nd consecutive WERC annual conference.

The conference will feature more than 80 sessions, all focused on practical aspects of distribution operations. Sessions include lecture/classroom presentations, roundtable discussions, tours of local warehousing facilities and the product showcase known as WIRE (WERC's Industry Resources Event). A special session, "Piece-Picking Systems: Determining the One That's Right for You," is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. WERC's Golf Challenge will offer an opportunity to network and enjoy the scenic landscape of Stone Mountain Lake.

Presenters include practitioners, thought leaders, industry suppliers and academics specializing in distribution / logistics in the supply chain. UPS' chief operating officer, David Abney, will deliver the keynote address.
